About Life Saving Ministries International
The work of Life Saving Ministries International began when Amar and Aruna Ganga returned to their native India after living for many years in the U.S., to minister to the poor using their own resources.
In 1998 the Lord Jesus led the Gangas to drill a well in a rural village that had no water. People who for the first time could pump their own fresh water asked, "Why do you do this for us?" The answer was "Because Jesus cares for you and wants you to come to know him, the One True God."
Many in this village of Jambapur believed and accepted Jesus as their savior. They then asked for a place to worship Him. The Gangas built a small church building using their own finances. Today the ministry supports this church.
The Gangas also care for orphaned or abandoned children. Beginning in 2000 with a rented apartment, they provided food, clothing, shelter, care, and education to 5 children. With ministry support, land was purchased in 2002 on which to build an orphan home. Construction of the 7,000 sq. ft. building near Hyderabad was completed in 2008. 28 children now live in a new, safe facility with the capacity to serve additional children. The ministry assisted with construction and now supports the operation of the orphan home.
In 2002 the Gangas learned of the needs of widows and women from difficult backgrounds in the rural village of Jaggampet. They planted a church there. Today about 90 women attend, as well as children and some men. A pastor serves their spiritual needs. Food and clothing are provided to the more destitute women. The ministry supports this church.
